TURN AROUND A TOWN: RED BANK RIVERCENTER
In the early 90s, Red Bank, NJ needed a facelift. Retail
vacanies, high turnovers, and a stagnant downtown were all contributing
to a shrinking local economy. The downtown lacked a clear identity, and
few outside the area had even heard of it. But we saw potential, and began
a multi-faceted marketing overhaul in 1990, partnering with Red Bank's
brand-spanking-new Special Improvement District, Red Bank RiverCenter.
Like everything we do, we started with small,
local businesses. Because your story is a great story!
Here’s how we approached Red Bank:
- Start with Opportunity and Revenue: the Downtowner
- Free Distribution, Great Design: the Truly
Innovative Red
Bank Welcome!
- Make Downtown a Destination: Shopping
Guides
- Help Small Businesses Get Big: Cooperative
Buys
- Get This Town on TV!
- Stop Your Car! Street-Spanning
Banners, Bus Ads, and Direct Mail
- Hot Downtown? Turning It Up With Red
Bank Red Hot

Our collaboration with RiverCenter is now almost
15 years old. In that time, we've seen Red Bank become a media star
and a model downtown for communities around the country. Marketing
matters. |
